Winemaking is a skill which predates recorded history. That skill has been honed and perfected throughout millennia. At Kalala Organic Estate Winery, we strive to bring this artform to new hights.
The estate fruit is hand picked when optimally ripe and gently fermented and processed in a gravity flow winery to preserve quality. The crisp, fresh varietal character of our white wine is a product of our vineyard practices and minimal handling wine making philosophy. Application of these same principals to red wine production, with additional prolonged cellaring in small oak casks, further enhances flavor and stabilizes the wines.

Simply, most quality wines improve with age. Aged wine develops greater complexity, as the chemical reactions that occur during ageing add new aromas and flavours to the wine. Ideally, buy a reasonable quantity so that you can regularly assess the development of the wine over several years.
